Navigation and reading
Works uses semantic headings, a skip link, labelled side navigation, an HTML-native expandable reading index for smaller screens and visible keyboard focus states. The responsive design accommodates narrow screens and reduced-motion preferences.
The Between Gardens in-page reader offers 15 image pages, page numbering and keyboard navigation, with the unchanged original PDF available separately.
Current limitations
An image-based page reader is not the same as a fully accessible structured-text edition. Historical facsimiles and some PDF documents may be difficult for screen readers or at high zoom levels. This publication does not claim an independently certified legal accessibility audit.
